My Guru st. Nikka Singh was a great saint. As we know about him when he came back from 1st world war he married his sister to suitable suite and distributed whole things in the house and to poor his land and home also and started his journey to find the truth.
I used to go early in the morning because we four, five people came to read Bhagwat Gita. Same time he used to gave comments on any Solaka. He used to live out of the city and never take money whole of life from someone. Some people only allowed to give food.
One day discussion was about ‘ego’ . He told a story to us. He told us that a guy Prema from Handa family was a perfect saint. Some day a group of Muslims came to their priest for spiritual talks. When talks start Prema asked for Muslim priest,” have you eaten Pig”? The priest remains silent and he shake his head ‘ no’. That group of Muslim people became angry because it is very bad to say any Muslim like this. But the Muslim priest said to them,” you does not know! In our books it has written that ego is a pig and you cannot meet Allah without eating it.he asked me have you eaten ‘ego’. And I said no” . Then Prema said that you are not able to talk about spiritual subjects. go and come when you become egoless.
One reply on “A story by my Guru”
Our ‘ego’ is the main cause that we cannot come face to face with bliss or enlightenment.
