There is a state beyond effort and effortlessness. Until it is realized effort is necessary. —— Maharishi Ramana.

Comment; For meditation, constant effort is needed because meditation for some time is for the beginners. As people are doing, they do this practice for 10 minutes, or twenty minutes this is good for the novice. Practice should be continued like flow of ghee or oil. At one time, Maharishi Ramana told to any devotee. I also sometimes feel it becomes as a bird flies in the sky and does not move its wings. Like this when meditation becomes, meaning it happens without effort, continuously. It means, of Maharishi Ramana, it is effortless effort.
