Grace is always there, but the practice is also needed. Staying in the self by one’s efforts, is like training a roguish bull to remain in the stall by tempting him with. Luscious grass and preventing him from straying. — Maharishi Ramana.

Comments; meaning of maharishi Ramana is that everyone has the grace given gifts by God in his heart. It is like as Sun is shining outside but we are sitting in a dark room. It is not the fault of the sun. When we will come outside, we will find it.

Because  it is like a roguish bull or our mind is like a roguish bull and when we give luscious grass to a bull in his stall, then bulls will not wander outside but will remain his stall to eat grass. Likewise, when our mind will find a taste of bliss it will not go outside in worldly things. So our practice of self -inquiry is that luscious grass.
