Divine grace is essential for realization. But it is vouchsafed only to him who is a true devotee or a yogi. It is given only to those who have striven hard and ceaselessly on the path of freedom. —-Maharishi Ramana.
Comments; the meaning of Maharishi Ramana is that without divine grace we are not able to find self-realization. But this grace is the result of our efforts which we do for realization. Who is a real devotee or yogi meaning that he wants it from the bottom of his heart and what is his ceaseless effort. The meaning is very clear that it depends on our thirst and effort. Our saints said about it that if you take a horse to a stream where a lot of water, but if the horse is not thirsty he will not drink water. So they said we gave every type of suggestions to the devotees, but it is according to his will, forcibly we can’t do anything for realizing the truth.
